A simple Meesho label cropper for suppliers and resellers

Meesho has become one of the most popular marketplaces for small businesses in India. A large share of its sellers are individuals and small teams working from a home, a shop or a small godown, and many of them manage the entire business from a smartphone. For those sellers, shipping labels are a daily chore. Labels arrive as PDF files that are made for an A4 page, but most sellers who ship at volume prefer to print on 4x6 thermal stickers. The Meesho Label Cropper on this page connects those two worlds. You upload the PDF, the tool trims every label and the result is a 4x6 inch file that your thermal printer can print directly.

It also helps with the usual supplier questions: how to crop a Meesho label on a phone, how to turn the panel PDF into thermal size, and how to leave the invoice out.

The tool is free and does not ask you to log in. It works from a phone, a tablet or a computer, and it handles long files with many orders. Everything happens inside your browser, so the label is never sent to a server.

We want to be clear about one thing: this is an independent website. It is not run by Meesho and it has no access to your supplier panel. It only works on a PDF that you download and then choose yourself.

Why Meesho sellers need a different kind of tool

Sellers on a mobile-first marketplace face limits that a desktop office does not. They may not have a laptop, they may not have installed any PDF software, and they may be working with a modest phone and a shared Wi-Fi connection. A tool for them has to run in the browser they already have, it has to be light, and it has to avoid mistakes. This cropper is built around that need. It downloads its PDF libraries only after you choose a file, it draws the label area at a controlled resolution so that phone memory is not overloaded, and it gives short, clear messages if something is wrong.

Meesho orders also tend to be numerous and low in value, which makes label costs matter. If each parcel needs an A4 sheet, tape and a few minutes of cutting, those costs eat into a thin margin. A thermal roll costs a small amount per label and saves minutes per parcel. Over a month, the time saved is easily the difference between shipping on time and falling behind.

Cropping a Meesho label: the full process

  1. Download the labels from your panel. Open your Meesho supplier panel, find the orders that are ready to ship and download the label file. You can download labels for many orders at once. Menu names may change, so follow the labels shown on your own screen.
  2. Choose the file on this page. Tap the upload box and pick the PDF from your downloads, or drag it into the box on a computer. There is no fixed page-count or file-size cap. Very large PDFs depend on available browser/device memory.
  3. Set the padding. The default Normal (6%) works for most labels. If your printer cuts off the edges, choose Loose. If you want the label as large as possible, choose Tight.
  4. Set the crop mode. Label only is the default. It keeps the first main block on each page and leaves out any invoice or extra details printed lower down after a clear gap. Keep everything on page crops around everything.
  5. Wait for the progress bar. The tool crops page by page. On a phone, keep the screen on and the tab open until it finishes.
  6. Print. The new PDF downloads on its own. Open it, check the first label, and print on your 4x6 printer at 100 percent scale.

How the cropping engine decides what to keep

The method is the same for every marketplace, because it works on what is printed on the page, not on a fixed template. That is useful on a platform where the layout can vary by courier partner.

Reading the page as a picture

Each page is rendered to an invisible canvas. The tool then looks at the pixels and treats any pixel that is clearly darker than white as part of the label. It does this row by row.

Grouping rows into sections

Rows with printed pixels are combined into sections. A section ends where there is an empty band taller than about 3.5 percent of the page height. Sections that are shorter than about 8 percent of the page height, such as a stray line of text at the top, are not treated as labels. In Label only mode the first real section wins. In Keep everything mode, all content counts.

Cropping with a safe margin

The selected area is widened by your padding setting on every side. This guards against cutting through thin borders or the end of a barcode.

Drawing again at high quality

Instead of stretching the small picture used for detection, the tool asks the PDF reader to draw only the chosen area again at roughly 300 dots per inch for a 4 inch wide sticker. That is why the barcode is sharp. The result is placed on a 4x6 page without changing its proportions, and all pages are joined into one PDF.

Sizes and settings: getting 4x6 right

People often ask why the cropped file is "4x6" when roll packaging says 100 x 150 mm. The two are nearly the same size. The table below lists all the values you might need.

UnitValueNotes
Inches4 x 6Output size of this tool
Millimetresabout 101.6 x 152.4Rolls are often labelled 100 x 150
Points288 x 432Size of each PDF page
Pixels at 203 dpi812 x 1218Common desktop thermal printers
Pixels at 300 dpi1200 x 1800Higher resolution printers

In your printer's settings, pick the paper size that matches the roll in the machine. If the printer shows a list of sizes in millimetres, choose 100 x 150. If it shows inches, choose 4 x 6. Then set the scale to 100 percent. If you choose Fit to page, some printers will shrink the label and leave a white border.

Printing from a phone

Many Meesho sellers print directly from a phone, and that works well when it is set up properly.

If your phone has little storage, delete the original A4 PDF only after the parcels have been picked up. Keep the cropped PDF until you are sure no label needs to be reprinted.

Workflow ideas for Meesho sellers

We do not claim that the tool can read product names or SKU codes. It crops by shape, not by content. If you need to match a label to a product, use the details printed on the label itself, and check the label after cropping.

Privacy: customer details stay with you

A label contains a name, a full address and a phone number. Some online tools send the file to a remote server, where it may be stored. We built this one differently. Your PDF is opened and processed in your own browser. The cropped file is created there as well and saved to your device. We never see the file and cannot recover it later.

The page loads its version-pinned PDF libraries and styles from this website. Neither request includes any part of your label. For more detail, read the privacy policy.

What a thermal label saves you: a simple way to count it

It is easy to feel that label printing is a small thing, but a quick calculation shows why so many sellers switch. Suppose you ship 60 parcels on an ordinary day. Printing on A4 paper means 60 sheets, and each sheet needs to be cut, folded or taped. If each parcel costs you even 40 seconds for that handling, you lose 40 minutes a day. Over a 26-day working month that is more than 17 hours, which is two full working days spent cutting paper.

A thermal printer removes the cutting and pasting entirely, because each sticker comes off the roll ready to be placed on the box. The cost per label is usually lower than a sheet of paper plus tape, and it does not use ink or toner. The only extra step is making sure the PDF is the right size, and that is exactly what this cropper takes care of. You are not asked to measure anything, drag any handle or type any number.

The numbers will be different for your business, so try your own. Count how many parcels you ship, how long your current method takes per parcel, and how many hours that adds up to in a month. If the answer surprises you, it is a good sign that a 4x6 workflow will pay for the printer quickly.

More output sizes and a separate invoice file

The default output is 4x6 inches, but the Output size menu above the upload box also offers 100 x 150 mm, A6, A5, 3 x 5 in, 4 x 4 in and a custom width and height in millimetres. If you print on an ordinary office printer, choose an A4 sheet with 2 or 4 labels and the tool arranges the labels on each sheet so you can cut them apart. The size you pick is remembered on this device.

If your Meesho PDF has the invoice printed below the label, tick the option to save the invoice part as a separate PDF. The label file downloads as usual, and a Download invoices PDF button appears with the invoice parts on A4 pages. This works in Label only mode and needs a clear empty gap between the label and the invoice. If none is found, the tool tells you.

Common mistakes to avoid when printing Meesho labels

Most label problems come from a handful of habits, and each is easy to fix once you know about it.

If you train staff to print labels, put these seven points on a small card next to the printer. A short checklist that anyone can follow usually does more to reduce errors than any change to the software.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Meesho Label Cropper free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no watermark. There is no fixed page-count or file-size cap. Very large PDFs depend on available browser/device memory. The site is supported by advertising.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works in current mobile browsers on Android and iPhone. Keep the tab open while it processes, because all of the work happens on your phone.

Is my customers' data uploaded?

No. The PDF is processed inside your browser and is never sent to our servers. We have no copy of it.

Does the tool read SKU or product names from the label?

No. It crops by looking at where the printed content is, not by reading the text. Use the details printed on the label itself to match products.

What happens to the invoice on my Meesho PDF?

In Label only mode, a section printed below the label is left out if there is a clear empty gap between them. If the two are joined with no gap, switch modes or print the invoice separately.

What size are the cropped labels?

By default each page is 4 x 6 inches, about 101.6 x 152.4 mm. That is the usual size for 100 x 150 mm label rolls on TSC, Zebra and similar printers.

Can I crop labels from several couriers in one file?

Yes, if they are all in the same PDF. The tool treats each page on its own, so labels with different layouts can be mixed in one file.

Why is my download called labelscropper-4x6-labels.pdf?

That is the default name of every output file. You can rename it after it downloads so you can find it more easily later.

Will the barcode scan after cropping?

It should, because the label is redrawn at about 300 dpi rather than stretched. Scan one printed label before printing a large batch to be sure.

Are there page-count or file-size limits?

Split it into smaller PDFs and crop each one. Smaller files are also quicker to check and print.

Does it need an internet connection?

Yes, to load the PDF libraries when you choose a file. Your label itself is never sent over the internet.

Is LabelsCropper connected to Meesho?

No. It is an independent website. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meesho, and all trademarks belong to their owners.

Can I get a size other than 4x6?

Yes. The Output size menu offers 100 x 150 mm, A6, A5, 3 x 5 in, 4 x 4 in, a custom width and height in millimetres, and A4 sheets with 2 or 4 labels. Your choice is remembered on your device.

Can I save the invoice as a separate file?

Yes. Tick the option to save the invoice part as a separate PDF. In Label only mode, the tool gives you the label file as usual and a second button for the invoice pages when it finds an invoice below the label with a clear gap.
